Fully lined Lauhala Band with heavy duty Theatrical Grade Velcro Closure for DIY Costuming Premium Grade finely woven lauhala is perfect for Fresh or Dry embellishments; we use the highest quality materials to construct professional grade costume bases.

Completely stitched on all edges using top grade “Pro-forma 80” industrial thread, 2” and wider banding on headdresses / hip hei / belts / floral obi cumber-bands for dry costuming (stitched by hand or machine with seashells, feather, peore, Tapa, etc.) are lined with premium 100% organic cotton on 2-ply booklet folds with clean finish seams and reinforcement tacks at every pull point Fresh floral costuming bases of 2” and wider banding will be doubled or layered lauhala matting with non-woven backing for reinforcement and easy hand stitching of fresh flowers and foliage.

Reusable for fresh floral pieces and reworking of dry costume embellishments We provide a generously overlapped Velcro closure with 1/4” final lip for a clean, polished finish, adjustability, and ultimate stabilization. Each headdress base is carefully handcrafted and individually planned before cutting.

Stitchlines and lauhala layering will be tailored to best suit the natural variations in each lauhala leaf harvest; additional bands of lauhala will be cross-layered and stitched down where appropriate to provide you with the best weight balancing and tensile strength to create your masterpiece 😊
