Fresh Costuming: Completely stitched on all edges with top grade Pro-forma 80. Reinforced double layer fine weave lauhala matting base, stay stitched on all edges, backed with premium non-woven felting Option to add high-density inner layer for stability, endurance, and comfortable weight-balance for heavily embellished head dresses and pageant style headdress frames

Excellent for specialty materials which require durable structure such as heavy seashells, Tapa / Siapo / Ngatu, horn, multiple tracks of hau or raffia, long fabric panels, heavy feathering, and heavy beading

Reusable for fresh floral pieces and reworking of dry costume embellishments We provide a generously overlapped Velcro closure with 1/4” final lip for a clean, polished finish, and ultimate stabilization.

*** Structural cross-bracing and stitch lines will be added as necessary to support natural weight-bearing of woven lauhala; every piece will be uniquely stitched with the most appropriate foundation lines to create the sturdiest base plate by size
