Natural seashells and MOP Nacre medallions are individually knotted with traditional silk cord on traditional 4-strand braiding of the highest quality millinery raffia and Niau Blanc Many of our seashells have been reclaimed from articles which would otherwise be abandoned to overloaded landfills. Meticulously cleansed and hand polished without toxic chemical solutions or synthetic brighteners, then hand drilled for individual placement Note: Rescued, hand-finished conch and chulla shells are only available in limited quantities Every piece is unique and thoughtfully color-matched with care We do not support the aggressive international seashell trade whereby end-use is souvenir decor as a result of specimen-grade kill. We DO support the conscientious practice of cultural and traditional adornment by way of regional handicrafts and cultural arts which is taught generationally and through teacher/student lineage. Every effort is made to rescue/recycle/upcycle when sourcing natural seashells, so these items will only be available on occasion. Dimensions: Current supply of rescued seashells ranges in size from 1.25"-2.25" length. Braided strand measures 18" plus end ties to allow for fit as desired.
